The Board of Trustees of the Foundation to Support the Accounting Pronouncements Committee (FACPC) is developing studies to create the Brazilian Sustainability Pronouncements Committee (CBPS) to adopt rules for the disclosure of information on ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) or ESG ( Environmental, Social and Governance) in Brazil. The initiative parallels the work being carried out by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), announced last year by the IFRS Foundation at COP 26 in Glasgow, UK. The idea is for the committee to be formed by participants from Abrasca, Apimec Brasil, B3, CFC, Fipecafi and Ibracon, and it should also admit entities representing investors in the capital market.
