Net Zero Tracker aims to increase the transparency and accountability of the net zero targets promised by countries, regions, cities and companies. In partnership with 4 entities - Energy & Climate Intelligence Unit, Data-Driven EnviroLab, NewClimate Institute e Oxford Net Zero - data is collected on defined goals and many factors that indicate the integrity of those goals. One of the major challenges today has been to track the results of net zero and emission reduction commitments being made. Especially in the absence of a baseline definition of how net zero applies in the world. Even in the corporate world. 2,000 publicly traded companies published net zero targets. But as indicated in the "Net Zero Tracker 2022" report, about two-thirds of companies do not refer to the clear way in which the objective will be achieved. In addition, many of these organizations have not set interim emission targets prior to 2050. Click here to browse the Net Zero Tracker website and below to access the report cited above.
