Jet Stream: impact of global warming at the highest altitudes of the Earth's atmosphere

The scorching temperatures that have recently hit vast parts of the US, EU and China have a common origin: a current or high-altitude current configuration known as "wavenumber 5", because it forms when "Jet Stream" splits into five separate air waves. Scientists are studying this closely, as well as a "7-wave pattern and the dreaded "Omega Wave", which also causes extreme heat.
