G20 Summit is held annually, under the leadership of a rotating Presidency, currently India, preparing to the September Summit. Brazil will take on the Presidency later this year and start preparing for the 2024 G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro.
G20 focus on macroeconomic issues, including sustainable development, environment and climate change.
In that sense, before hosting the Summit, the G20 Presidency steers the G20 agenda with several preparatory meetings.

Some members expressed the need for deliberation on the issue of disguised trade restrictions and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on the grounds of climate action, and several members were not in agreement regarding the same (§65)
