IBGC Orienta: Best practices for an ESG agenda in organizations

Last Thursday, the (in Portuguese) publication "IBGC Guidance: Good Practices for an ESG Agenda in organizations" was launched.


Founded in 1995, in São Paulo, the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC) is a non-profit organization, a national and international reference in corporate governance, generating and disseminating knowledge of best practices in corporate governance, influencing the construction of a better society. It is also part of the network of Institutos de Gobierno Corporativo de Latino America (IGCLA) and the Global Network of Director Institutes (GNDI), a group that brings together institutes related to governance and the board of directors around the world.


The publication, developed by a working group composed of members of the IBGC team and its Sustainability and Corporate Risk Management Committees, has the following (sub)chapters:

  • Acting with purpose

  • Value chain and stakeholders

  • Environmental agenda in organizations

  • Climate change

  • Social agenda in organizations

  • Corporate governance agenda (Integration to strategy and risk management)

  • The relevance of communication
