CVM publishes study on ESG and the Brazilian capital market

The Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) published on May 26, 2022, the study "The ESG agenda and the capital market - An analysis of ongoing initiatives, challenges and opportunities for future reflections by the CVM". The material presents the relationship between the capital market and sustainability, the historical context and debates involving ESG (environmental, social and governance) and regulatory aspects, as well as international experiences. Questions about ESG information disclosures by publicly traded companies in developed markets and the relationship of the subject with investors, such as the level of knowledge, concerns and opportunities, were also addressed. The study had the collaboration of the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC) in the preparation of the international comparison. Click on the image to access the study.
