Continuing the series of brief updates on some significant facts about hydrogen, previously posted by Carbon Credit Markets.
Saudi Arabia building the world’s largest USD 8.4 Billion green hydrogen plant. Original post from 2023, September.
The hydrogen related part of that post focused on a press release about the total investment reached by 23 investment firms, local, regional and international banks towards the world’s largest green hydrogen production facility being built at Oxagon, in Saudi Arabia’s region of NEOM.

According to the website of NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC), the latest press release from November 2023 indicated that the first major delivery of wind turbines had reached the plant site. Accordingly, once the plant is fully operational in 2026, 100% of the green hydrogen produced will be available for global export in the form of green ammonia. Recalling, NEOM’s reimagined industrial city, will integrate as much as 4 giga-watts of solar and wind energy to produce up to 600 tonnes of carbon-free hydrogen daily. Give a look.
